This course will give teacher candidates a sound understanding of the strengths and limitations of different approaches to learning, teaching and assessment,preparing teacher candidates to make informed decisions about appropriate strategies which might be adopted in their own context. It emphasizes the pupil's perspective and the social and cultural context of teaching; shows that teaching, learning and assessment must be aligned; not viewed in isolation; and stresses the importance of presenting substantial evidence of good practice.
